Meet Tommy. He is blind and deaf and was found as a stray wondering the streets. DARE rescued him from a kill shelter. He has scabies (which is a very contagious type of mange) and is heartworm positive. Oh and did I mention he is 15 years old? We did not want him to die alone in a shelter so we took him to a vet where he will stay until the mange is under control and he is no longer contagious. Then he will be moved to a foster home where he will be loved and cared for. Tommy is now in his foster home and doing very well. He is still itching but it is getting better.
