Adoption Application
|
Hi, there! My name is Dudley and I am senior doxie. I was rescued by DARE when I was 10 years old. My foster mom became my forever mom, which happens alot with us old folks, but sometimes there are special people out there who see the joy we can bring and they take us home to be theirs forever. Many people do not realize that dachshunds can live 16 - 20 years, if well cared for. So I have a lots of life left in me!
I would like to introduce you to the DARE senior doxies and "forever fosters". A "forever foster" is a dachshund that is too old or too sick to be adopted but they are not yet ready to go to the rainbow bridge. DARE is committed to give them the best care possible until it is their time to "shuffle off this mortal coil". You can open your heart and your home to one of my senior friends and you will never regret it or you can be a "Special Buddy" to one of them. A "Special Buddy" helps DARE with the cost of caring for these special "puppies".
I am pleased to introduce you to (just click on their picture to find
out more about them):

Make a donation to DARE
It can cost up to $7,000 to prepare just one rescued dog
for adoption depending on the health of the dachshund when he/she comes
to DARE. Not all require surgery, but many do and many more require heartworm
treatment before they can be adopted. We depend on your generosity to cover
our expenses and the expense of foster care until these wonderful dogs
can find a forever home. Use the information below or visit
our donations page to set up recurring monthly donation. We thank you
in advance for your help.
